Cheryl O'Connor
Cheryl O’Connor is the Executive Director of LibraryLinkNJ. She manages the cooperative’s services to the 2500 multi-type members of the New Jersey Library Network with a stellar staff of seven. Following public library system experience in Virginia and New York State, Cheryl moved to NJ in the mid-seventies with her husband, Rutgers SCI professor, Dan O'Connor. She has worked in reference, tech services, and administration in addition to free lance training, consultation, and adjunct faculty teaching in graduate and undergraduate programs at Rutgers University. She served as the Program Coordinator and Executive Director of INFOLINK, the Eastern New Jersey Regional Library Cooperative for 19 years. A Syracuse University MSLS grad, she also earned a 15-credit graduate certificate in nonprofit organization management at Seton Hall University in 2001. Cheryl’s perspective across her 40+ year career has focused on networks, library development, cooperation and collaboration. She was the New Jersey Library Association’s 2009 Librarian of the Year.
Joanne P. Roukens
Joanne P. Roukens is the Assistant Director of LLNJ and manages the statewide continuing education program. Before coming to LibraryLinkNJ in September 2010, she was with the Highlands Regional Library Cooperative (Denville, NJ) for 10 years. Serving as the Program Coordinator and then as the Executive Director. She has over 20 years of experience working in public libraries and was with the Morris County Library for 14 years. She has earned a Certificate in Training from the New Jersey Department of Personnel and was the co-coordinator of the New Jersey Train-the-Trainers Program from 2001 - 2005. Joanne is a well known for her training workshops on customer service and presentation skills. Through her programs on valuing libraries, Joanne has helped staff at all types of libraries, both in New Jersey and around the country, demonstrate their value and make the case for libraries. Joanne was the New Jersey Library Association’s 2007 Librarian of the Year.

Mi-Sun Lyu
Mi-Sun began work at the cooperative as Program & Services Coordinator and Webmaster in July 2005 and changed her job responsibility to IT/Online Project Manager in 2010. Beginning July 2011, Mi-Sun now serves as IT/Online Project Manager and Program Coordinator. Mi-Sun has designed and implemented the cooperative website in Drupal (open source content management platform) and is continuously working on updating and improving the cooperative’s online service. Previously as Program & Services Coordinator at the cooperative, Mi-Sun coordinated hundreds of continuing education workshops and programs on a variety of subjects. In collaboration with Technology and Diversity Committees of the cooperative, Mi-Sun also successfully managed the cooperative’s projects and services including the Statewide Diversity Initiative Workshop Series, Website Development Projects for member libraries, Gaming in Libraries Service, Tech is IT Conferences, Senior Spaces Project & Conference, GLBTI Conference, and many more. Prior to LLNJ, she worked at the Ocean County Library System as Web Coordinator/Senior Librarian and designed implemented the library’s website. Mi-Sun is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a secret agent of MWA (Matchmaking World Association).
Sophie Brookover
Sophie Brookover is a Program Coordinator and the Social Media Manager for LibraryLinkNJ. Prior to coming on board with the cooperative in October 2010, Sophie worked at Mount Laurel and Camden County Libraries, and at Eastern Regional High Schools, developing expertise in youth services and school librarianship. Known as a lively and engaging speaker on the topics of popular culture, technology, reader’s advisory and community engagement, Sophie was named a 2006 Library Journal Mover & Shaker, is the co-author of Pop Goes the Library: Using Popular Culture to Reach Your Whole Community (2008, Information Today), and won the AASL Verizon Thinkfinity Zmuda Challenge Grant in 2010.
Jessica Adler
Jessica Adler is Assistant to the Executive Director for Discount Services. She worked at the Cooperative as Program Coordinator from September 2010 to July 2011. Before joining the staff of LibraryLinkNJ, Jessica worked for the Ocean County Library in Technology and Reference. Prior to that she worked primarily in academic libraries, including Monmouth, Rutgers and Princeton Universities. In 2007 she completed the Executive Leadership Institute, a national year-long leadership program. Jessica has conducted training workshops on various technology topics and also served as President of the NJLA Information Technologies Section.
Nanette Cox
Nanette Cox started at the cooperative with Ed Dowlin at the helm. She has served 11 years and looks forward to many more under the direction of Cheryl O’Connor. Prior to her tenure at LLNJ she worked in the Computer Reseller Industry where she worked to serve New Jersey Library Community’s business needs.
Carol Fishwick
Carol Fishwick is the Member Services Coordinator for LibraryLinkNJ. She previously held the same position at INFOLINK for 11 years. For 17 years prior to her tenure at the cooperative, she served as a Legislative Aide for State Senator Robert Smith. After attending Monmouth University, Carol began her career at Revlon, Inc. in Edison.
Melissa Mach
Melissa Mach is the part time clerical assistant at LibraryLinkNJ. She started working in March 2011 and is currently attending Rutgers University. Although she is involved in many after school activities, she still manages her time between work and school. Some of her interests include dancing, traveling, playing the piano, and baking.
